Work is hand built with many layers of decoration. The pieces are fine art in nature and represent thoughts, feelings or ideas, which often mirror events which are personal to her, or are part of our collective experience.  Each fine art piece becomes a visual 3D story.

 jan byrne

Jan Byrne worked full time as the Arts College Director at The Corsham School in Wiltshire until 2017, whilst the school had Visual Arts status. She now works full time as an artist  in her studio in Bath.



A member of the Craft Potters Association and the Bath Society of Artists, her work can be seen in  the current Ceramics book and her potters mark is in the current 'British Studio Potters Marks' book.

​Other work can be viewed as part of the permanent collection at the Portsmouth Naval Museum, at the Chippenham Museum and in the Museum of Bath at Work.

Her work has been Highly Commended in the Red Line Art Artworks awards 2016.
